Sushi and Sake

The task for this project was to design and write a program for a sushi restaurant in a pre-existing space adjacent to other restaurants and retail stores. The restaurant was designed to reflect the character and origin of the food, rather than be based off of traditional Japanese architecture. Inspiration for the forms came from the plant and animal life of the ocean. The two focal points of the space are the two bars that have jellyfish like forms at their centers. Behind the storefront windows is a aluminum frame system holding translucent plastic forms lit by LEDs.
