Pivot - Multifunctional Furniture - Pivot is a multifunctional furniture piece designed around the company Benchmark.
The product is designed in a way to allow the user to have complete control over it's form, fitting into their lifestyle and certain way of living. To date I have created eighteen different configurations of the furniture piece each having a set function related to it.
The idea was to create something to which the user has an emotional attachment as they have a huge part to play in the role that Pivot offers to the user's lifestyle - with its form determined by the user themselves.
Pivot is made from sixty three individual Birch ply components each developed through Solid Works not only for design but also manufacture. The product is then finished in a satin Olive Ovangkol veneer.
