Weaving a Revolution - Exhibit Catalog

I designed and produced a 303 page, full-color catalog to accompany the exhibit of the same name. There are over 350 images that catalogue the entire Twin Rocks Trading Post Collection and highlight Navajo artists from the remote area known as Douglas Mesa, near Monument Valley. The layout and production work was completed in one month!

My goal was to create an art book that also functioned as a traditional exhibition catalog and featured five scholarly essays. I used photography to take the reader on a journey to Douglas Mesa and the landscapes where the weavers live and work. The reader is introduced to the materials and process used to make these amazing baskets. Close-up shots

focus on the coiled basket technique and many photographs document the weavers in their element. They’re candid, beautiful and capture a day on the reservation. Working with a talented photographer was crucial to the success of this project.
