Gillette

During my second year at Sheffield Hallam, Gillette approached us to take part in a live brief. Having already worked with Ideal Standard, this was a chance to build upon the knowledge and experience I had already developed.

Rob Yates, Principal Scientist at P&G, delivered the brief, and I set to work trying to create a new area in the beauty and grooming market.

My work centred around facial hair 'styling', a sector that is gaining momentum.

My response was Radial: an ergonomic styler that fits into the palm and has a variable blade position, allowing the user to set the closeness of their shave.

I was shortlisted, and presented to the Gillette Board at their Headquarters in Reading.
