Final model displayed on base with DOOM plaque.
The sculpture shortly after painting. The eye ball is just a green marble that had a convincing pupil like feature in its centre.
The creature as a work in progress still being sculpted on the post.
After building the armature accordingly to the chart I wrapped it with newspaper to bulk up the frame of the figure so that I wouldn't use as much clay.
Some simple sketches of the Mancubus I did when I was trying to familiarise myself with the anatomy of the creature.

Mancubus Sculpture from 'DOOM' (2016) (1:16 Scale)

This is a model of a demon from the video game 'DOOM' (2016) that I sculpted in an oil based medium known as monster clay. It was to the scale of 1:16 and was the first armature and figure sculpture I ever did.

For my final piece in second year I thought I'd attempt something a little different to what I'd done on the course prior and given that we had a lot of time to research and build I thought it was the perfect opportunity. I was hoping to cast the final sculpt into silicone rubber with a polyurethane resin but due to altercations with the silicone as well as time constraints I never got to. I in turn had to paint the actual clay sculpture which is what you see here. I reckon had I been able to paint a resin casting it would have yielded better results but as a whole I'm happy with what came out of this project and I've learned a lot.
I still intend to cast it and include some LED details as well as fiberoptic pipes.
