1. Moonlight Landscape. The patterns on the fields and hedges create a structure that are distorted into abstract forms.
2. Abstracted Landscape. Colour runs across the hills and the patterns of the fields and hills.
3. Patchwork Fields.
4. Windows. These distorted windows were reflected in buildings in Birmingham.
6. STIVES1. These three paintings were based on the town of St Ives in Cornwall and were a tribute to Bryan Wynter an artist from St Ives who created IMOS which were suspended abstract images that moved around with the heat of a light creating wonderful reflections in a concave parabolic mirror.
8. Blue Van Galmpton. A blue van on a road is which divides the landscape in half.
Barce1. Following a visit to Barcelona I was amazed at the buildings by Gaudi and developed some abstract paintings based on his wonderful use of tiles.
Barce11. The second of the Barcelona paintings.

Having developed paintings from locations I like to use these in the studio to develop ideas further using patterns and shapes recorded outside to experiment with light colour and form.
