Welspun has been running a full-fledged CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) programme since 2009 focussing on 3-E principles, i.e. Education, Empowerment , Environment & Health. Under the Empowerment section it has started few vocational training centers across Kutch.
This collection focused on a small group of women working in one such center and their skill development and empowerment. It included using the surplus fabric or any kind of waste generated at the factory and the women, who were trained in just basic stitching using a simple machine running stitch.
