Occupationa Therapy - Task: -Cover all the walls, floor and ceiling of a room with dots. -Connect the dots. Rules: -Every dot must be connected with two other dots. -All the dots must be included. -All the dots must be connected with one line; -The connecting lines must be as straight as possible. -The lines must not cross each other. This project was the result of both, my faszination with occupational therapy, a seemingly senseless activity, it‘s sole purpose to keep oneself occupied, and from my disdain for senseless textile design, created from nothing, and for nothing more than to pleasure the eye. My design was to be derived from the result of occupational therapy to complete the task outlined above. I used two of the most simple graphical elements: Dots and lines. Once the task was completed I photographed the space. These images then formed the design which I digitally printed onto fabric.
Well done! - crochet medal give more compliments! handmade fashion and home accessory line 'Quast' produced and sold in Hamburg, Germany
Wallpaper with Hooks - My concept brought function to otherwise purely decorative wallpaper. Integrated hooks replace shelves and wardrobes. Bags, keys, clothes, pictures, etc. can be hung anywhere on the wall; your favorite items then becoming part of the room decor. The traditional wallpaper pattern takes on a new form as it stretches and distorts to accomodate the hook.
Connect the dots - This skirt is part of a collection of oversized garments which are tailored to bodysize by connecting the dots on the fabric with thread.
