Commissioned by a producer to direct A dark Christmas comedic play which had been produced thousands of times. I acknowledging all cliches and recognized the repeated visual presentations of past productions and went in a completely different direction. The sordid tales of sexual abuse by fantastical humanoid reindeer, I envisioned were of an alternate universe and felt deserved a visually whimsical touch . I wore all the hats in this production. Director, producer, art director, costume designer, scenic designer, wardrobe supervisor, stage manager, sound and lighting. Miraculously I found three magical make up artists to work for nearly free , friends to take photographs and to help build . Endured Five weeks of intense preproduction for five glorious shows.
