Product Name- Orbit.
This project focuses on the idea of “Digital Handmade.” This creative movement was created by Artisan who combine skilled craftsmanship with the latest technology. The piece, Orbit, combines the technology of laser cutting with the craft based skills of handmade. A circular ring design has been produced on MDF using a laser cutter. This is then sold as a flat pack piece which consumer purchase in their local craft shop. The consumer then uses their creative skills to decorate the piece in any way they wish. This could be done using paint or varnish. Doing this consumer would be customizing their own unique piece. Once the decoration is complete consumers can manipulate the individual pieces to create a decorative table light.
