Trilobe Stool - Stool inspired by the microscopic skeletal structure of plankton. The final piece is molded poplar plywood with cherry veneer and an upholstered seating surface.
BD Syringe - I worked with Tyson Boles on the Becton Dickenson insulin syringe redesign project hosted by Pratt Institute. In addition to providing creative input and design detailing help, I also built all digital models, made solid geometry for SLA output, created all renderings and animations, and laid-out all presentation materials.
SimpleCart - This is my redesign of a folding utility cart. The criteria called for the piece to hold 100lbs. or two suitcases, and fold up to half of its opened size. In addition to these criteria, my design utilizes 3 main repeating elements (tray/handle, sides, wheels), and is made of injection-molded structural nylon foam, both of which contribute to its ability to be inexpensively manufacted in quantity.
Installation for the corner of 43rd st. @ 6th Ave - The corner of 43rd St and 6th Ave stood an empty expanse of white tiles for years. This project was a proposal for a piece of public sculpture to activate the space and generally make the otherwise bland corner plaza a little more noteworthy.
Peanut Cuff Bracelet - There is a beauty to the fine structures of both microscopic organisms, and jewelry.
