The painting shows how the cat represents calmness and how the night passes by it . The stars represents it's generations of cats that died before it and the cat is thinking "one night , I will glow like one of those stars." I chose black for the background because it demonstrates a dark night. I used white to draw the cat, the moon and the stars because it could stand out from the black ground. I didn't color in the cat because I wanted the black to be seen thorough the cat. I drew white stars because I wanted details to be shown on my drawing. The cat is located on the centered of the black canvas because I wanted the cat to stand out of the other details. I drew the moon in the corner because it can show it's a long night ,the cat is living the moment of staying up with,the moon and the stars. The cat's body is the fully drawn completely because I wanted to use a different technique .
