Inspired by the Jacques Tourneur film “I Walked with a Zombie”, the project takes as its starting point the figure of the zombie: a person who, due to the trickery and devilish schemes of a sorcerer or bokor, is deprived of his soul and will, thus becoming a body without self-control.
This transformation has been reflected in the project by altering the regular pattern layout and rotating it around the vertical axis. As a consequence, clothes are not centred on the body but tilted to the left or to the right depending on the look.
The garments have been manufactured using classic tailoring techniques, including interfacing and other typical elements of tailored jackets, such as hand-sewn linings. All these finishing touches enrich and provide added value to this project.
