Material Study I Light

This is a series of experiments of using each of the various materials to make a light. These experiments contribute to deepen my understanding of material approached design. Material strategy takes its departure in the expressive qualities of materials. The leitmotif is “function resides in the expression of things”. Thus, instead of obeying the notion "form follows function", material strategy leaves form and function in a state of ongoing negotiation throughout the design process.
