Kipsta Canada Basketball shoe - This was more of a fun/ personal project of blending both a winter boot and a basketball shoe. Since it is the stereotype that in Canada, we live in snow, i figured this would be what people assume we play in.
Nissan Skyline GTR Sneaker - This shoe was inspired by details from the 2010 Nissan Skyline.
Kipsta Basketball Shoe - This was a design proposition for a midrange Kipsta Basketball shoe.
Kipsta Basketball Shoe - This was a design proposition for a midrange Kipsta Basketball shoe. Breathable vents were added to the side of the shoe creating function plus a graphical element.
Kipsta Basketball Shoe Final Rendering - This is the final presentation rendering for the B300 Ver.2 model.
Kipsta Field Hockey Footwear propositions - These are designs for Field hockey shoes for a new range of " World Sport" products.
B300_Mid 2007 - This is the mid-cut version of the mid range basketball footwear created for 2007. I tried to create a strong colour blocking on the side of the shoe to make it more recognizable on the court.
B500_Mid 2007 - The B500 was the higher end Sneaker for 2007. I created the new upper where the outsole was carried over from previous seasons. I thought it would be intresting if the shoe was split in two creating two possible stories with different colours and materials. Also the break in the middle of the shoe would also mimic how your jeans would sit over the shoes.
B300_Low 2008 - The B300 Low for 2008 was asked to be more of a classic design. I didn't want the shoe to be too " old school" so I incorperated different constructions to create a nice mix between classic lines and newer processes.
B500_Mid 2008 - " Pirate" - This B500 basketball shoe was a shoe that was created on the side of normal validated projects. This was one of the most fun projects i have had, having many barriers lifted. I created a large removable strap system in the back giving the shoe two identities when the strap is attatched or removed. We also started to play with different materials and processes to create a different feel to our basketball shoes.
B700_2008 - Creation Boards - Our B700 project was Kipstas first high end basketball shoe. We signed a professional European League player to test and give feedback and attacked this project full steam. We decided to create a new " CS" cushioning system and other new technical benefits in this shoe. Here are some of my concept boards.
B700_2008 - Final Product - Here is the final product of all our work. With this shoe, we pushed many bountaries and our own personal knowledge to create a new milestone for our brand.
B300-Street_Mid 2009 - Roadside - Our brand decided to separated " streetball" and " indoor ball", giving us the Roadside. This shoe is based more on Streetball fashion and culture. A full carbon upper was chosen for this shoe inspired by Street racing culture.
B300_Mid 2008 - "Onion shoe" - This sneaker is one of two designs that was created in competiton to be presented in the end. This shoe was to be more " smooth" and " fluid". In the end, a friend called it the " onion" shoe since the lines " flow like the lines of an Onion"...
B100_Low 2008 - Starever - The Starever Design is a direct stab at the customization and streetwear trend. There was a large quarter designed for easy graphic communiation.
B300 Low_ 2007 - This is a mid range, low cut, basketball shoe. This shoe represents some my older style with harder lines and sharper edges.
