In 2017 Master Spas approached CMP to create a custom look for their cosmetic components that would become synonymous with their brand identity. Master Spas is one of the largest hot tub manufacturers in the world. Through attention to quality and innovation their spas have become widely recognized as some of the best in the industry, and have earned the endorsement of legendary Olympic swimmer, Michael Phelps. This was our first custom design project for Master Spas, so to kick it off we flew in their leadership team to get a better understanding of their brand, value propositions, and specific wants/needs for the program. We reviewed the spa models that would receive our new designs, and identified key geometry and features to reference and explore. Their marketing focus is on healthy living and family fun, so our components needed to emphasize a sporty look and feel with attention given to ergonomics and hydrotherapy.
