Industrial Design, 3D Parametric Modeling, Simulation Visualization — Colorado Springs, CO
My bachelors of science through Western Michigan University has not only given me thorough product design skills, but also extensive training in manufacturing processes, material science, computer aided drafting on multiple platforms, and user based ergonomics. This experience enabled me to work as an Industrial Designer in one of Michigan's premier Industrial Design offices alongside their extremely talented design and engineering staff. After a short stint drafting mill work interiors and luxury home cabinetry, I now work for Metso Mining and Construction providing highly detailed 3D models for scientific simulation, as well as create exciting and informative visualizations of these simulations.
I try not to take life too seriously, getting outdoors with my family as much as possible. I am continually amazed at what life can put at your feet, so I'm just going with the flow, loving every minute.
Most recently I have been developing 3D parametric models of complex industrial mining equipment for simulation. This has enabled me to learn new software and skills, including Autodesk Inventor 2012, and ANSYS simulation meshing.
