I explored the opportunities of the initial idea through quick low fidelity prototypes that lead to a miniaturization of the toy and enhancing the game play.

Air blowing toy

During this second year bachelor project I had to design a new generation Kinder surprise egg. The goal of the toy I designed is to guide a hovering Styrofoam ball through the obstacle course built by the user from the obstacles provided within the egg, hoops and rails, which can be attached to a smooth vertical surface. Since the user has to blow through a straw themselves to keep the ball hovering, the limited air gives this game an extra challenge and fun factor. The beauty is that if the user gets this toy again in a new egg, it would act like an extension pack, allowing longer obstacle courses to be built, not providing the disappointment after getting the same toy as is the case now. It has a social aspect where users can race against each other by building two the same obstacle courses.
