I’m a highly motivated and commercially minded design Engineer undergraduate with previous experience of working in a design consultancy and customer service roles. Through my degree studies and employment I have developed confident problem solving, communication, teamwork and IT skills. I am Keen to gain practical experience along side my studies and feel a placement would be a fantastic opportunity for this.
Already i have experience in different engineering backgrounds including;

BSC Product Development & Engineering (IED Accredited)Liverpool John Moors University2012 - 2016• Confident design skills developed from successfully working on a number of projects during my degree studies, including developing a down hill mountain scooter for one of my first year project. I achieved high marks for this (2:1 or above) by ensuring my designs where original and futuristic while adhering to a design specification and project brief. The final design was derived from initial conceptual sketches which in tern where driven by brainstorming and checklists to produce the finished product. • Strong skills in CAD software such as Solidworks. Completing a number of assessments in university has helped me develop a good understanding of technical communication and the ability to drive Solidworks with both surface and solid modeling and create detailed drawings from such models. Complete Tooling SoloutionsQuality ControlRhyl, United KingdomDec 2014 - Jan 2015 (1 month)During this two-day work experience placement I conducted quality control assessments on nuclear waste vessels for a soon to be decommissioned power plant in wales. This work was undertaken by CTS for Cavendish nuclear. Similarly I have also conducted quality control assessments on aeronautical seat pans for Airbus. Additional information * Membership of professional bodies: As a student member of the IMechE, I enjoy keeping up to date with any developments in the engineering sector. Design EngineerDesign RealityUnited KingdomApr 2014 - Jun 2014 (2 months)To design and print small 3D samples which could be used to show off the new
Connex multi material 3D printer to potential new clients. This saw me use both Solidworks and
PTC Creo Paramatic (formerly Pro Engineer) to create 3d models which I could then send to the Objet
software as a .STL to select part by part the color and material which could then be set to print.
These roles also lead me to do some costing and scoping for a potential BAE project, an instruction
Manual about how to 3D print in multi color and material for new employees which is to be sent to their Sister Company in the US. Lastly I had to find and source appropriate optics for a new wearable night vision goggles prototype.
