Hello, I am Chance Hendrix and recently graduated from the University of Northern Colorado. Throughout my life drawing, illustrating, creating, traveling and learning has been a persistent driving force. My passions in creating characters and developing stories has opened imaginative worlds and places of adventure. This last year I spent time abroad in Southeast Asia traveling throughout Taiwan and Thailand which broadened my cultural, personal and artistic experiences. In return this deepened the value of personal development and growth. During my time in Taiwan I was lucky to have been welcomed into my friend’s family home. They shared and presented Taiwan in the most personal way by incorporating me into their family and culture. From this I learned a deeper sense of empathy allowing me to develop connections and build lifelong relationships that has changed my human experience and perspective. Through my international education in Thailand I quickly learned to adapt to yet another culture. These experiences and interactions have been a constant reminder to treat others with humility and kindness despite differences in cultural, linguistic or religious backgrounds. My interest in adventure and human interaction will only cultivate and inspire new artistic and creative endeavors. I have been involved for the past three years volunteering for the Children’s Hospital Courage Classic bike race and plan to continue to make this a personal tradition. I also volunteer in my local community by helping run and organize Elbert Days which celebrates my home town’s history. Competing in team athletics throughout school and college intramurals has instilled in me the value of leadership and teamwork. From these passions and through personal and cultural experiences I will continue to grow as a creative and adaptive individual which will make me a valuable asset to any company or business relationship.
