Jacque Tiongco

A self-taught artist, born and based in Manila, Philippines. I've been drawing forever and experimented with different mediums. But I just recently discovered that ink art is what I want to do. I have always been fascinated with black and white illustrations, may it be minimalist or complex. There is something powerful in black and white art, for one would focus on the subject matter and the technique in a different level. With the absence of color, each line or dot evokes a certain emotion into the piece as it tries to captivate the viewer.

My art is mostly ink illustrations that are reminiscent of my emotions or interests at a certain time. Some works are focused on stippling / pointillism and scribbling while others are in the form of zentangles.

My subjects are usually interpretations of animals and music. I love creating even the smallest detail in a piece and I think that a certain element can be a game-changer.
