I help Finisar with their mechanical design needs as a contractor, which includes improving the design of current assembly jigs/fixtures and updating engineering drawings to reflect design changes.

I make 3D CAD models for prototyping, concept exploration and engineering analysis; help build and develop functional prototypes; reverse engineer things, market research, strategize, and pretty much whatever it takes to keep the product moving forward.

I was involved in numerous projects, with a major one being driving the execution of compliance initiatives and corrective actions across several departments which included engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, and EHS (Environment Health & Safety).

I also:
— Verified, reviewed, and redlined engineering drawings, schematics, and procedure documentation;
— Supervised teams of contractors to ensure the on-time completion of critical projects during the annual facility-wide shutdown;
— Investigated safety incidents, and by applying various problem-solving methodologies, identified the root-cause and proposed appropriate corrective actions;
— Evaluated the impact of critical equipment that was found to be out of tolerance on the quality of product and validated state of the system;
— Monitored the Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emissions from the Alcohol Recovery Distillation System, and handled the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) data for critical plant equipment.

I deeply researched and analyzed competitors' technologies to identify potential patent infringements.

I've been doing graphic and logo design for close to 10 years now, during which I've had the pleasure of working with some great people and projects.
