Svetlana Moshkova

Canadian Badlands Artists member and Kingston Arts council.

I studied classical art for 12 years and hold diplomas with honors. Throughout my life, I have continuously practiced and refined my skills as an artist. I specialize in creating serious pastel works, but I also enjoy making quick sketches, sculptures, photography, and plein air paintings.

Svetlana Moshkova was born in Moscow and has been drawing since early childhood. She graduated with honors from the Moscow Art Professional College and also studied painting and graphics at the Moscow State University of Printing and 2 Artschools.

Her works have been exhibited at Artists of the Moscow Region (1998), Anigraph (Moscow), Multimedia Expo (Moscow), and Klondike (2000). Her artwork has also been published in Soft Market magazine and exhibited at the Canadian Badlands Artists’ Gallery in Alberta (2025).

Svetlana has lived and worked in Russia, Serbia, and Israel, where she combined her artistic practice with teaching sketching, as well as the fundamentals of academic drawing and painting.

She is now based in Canada and is eager to contribute her cultural and artistic experience to her new home. She prefers to work in a realistic style and primarily uses pastel, while also exploring clay sculpting and sketching in various techniques.
