    I've worked in the game startup scene in silicone valley for the past 6 years. The teams are so small, that as the artist, my tasks included everything from concept art, User interface, character animation, and of course, final product marketing banners, web blasts, and animations. This includes marketing for mobile slots games and a PC MMO.

    My experience dates back even further with the popularity of animated website tutorials and web banners made in Flash back in 2008. I would freelance for small social community startups who most of the time knew little about how they wanted to represent their product and relied on me to tell a story that their customers could relate to. Working in the games industry now has been much more rewarding, especially in small studios where I can witness the entire life cycle of a game's development.
