The Bell Star helped bring recognition back to this iconic brand
Ventilation as well as aerodynamics were a top priority when designing the Bell Star. Innovations like a two-stage chin vent, side extractor vents and under spoiler rear vents were unique to the Star.
First hand track testing the during development at Laguan Seca and Thunderhill led to additional aerodynamic adjustments to minimize lift.
Wind tunnel testing validated what we'd learned at the track
March 2009: A second place finish by Josh Herrin at the Daytona 200. "The Bell Star is the most stable helmet I've ever worn" - Josh Herrin.

Top of the line motorcycle helmet for the street rider. Rider comfort and safety were at the top of the list for project goals. Light weight, low coefficient of drag and great, ventilation were also key targets.
