What is “Design”?

I think it starts with “Care”.

Caring for the environment, social-cultural, life value, present, and future...

After graduating from college, be a designer in the design studio for four years, in the car design company for three years, in the bike company for one and a half years. I gat eight years of experience in industrial design. But what is "Design"? I always ask myself.

In recent years, I feel environmental issues are more and more serious. I joined some NGO of environmental protection, to be a volunteer. Let me deeply realize how human's design influence the environment. In the past, I think the design is for satisfies the desire of the consumer. Now, I think design should be more widely considered. From the environment, social to life culture, try to find a balance of design.

At present, I hope my career of design will be developed in sustainable design. Expect my work could create value for other life and respect the environment.

So I think "Design" should be the verb that starts with "Care".
