-The Six-Footwear Collection
I was driven by a desire to learn something new and create in the absence of
commercial pressure. a self contained universe. using only local, readily available
materials and tools. I focused on footwear, because after years of designing both
footwear and apparel I wanted to understand how to make shoes in the same
way I did apparel.. a strong background in apparel pattern making and garment
construction have been central to my success as a designer. i was excited by the
idea of understanding footwear in the same way
