CHRISTOPHER R. JONES
I am a high school graduate of Montana. My career ambition is to become a professional artist as a digital animator/illustrator. While I am gaining residency in California over this next year, and before I begin my college career, I would very much like to work and save money. Therefore, finding work for this year will be necessary for me to save for my future college expenses since my parents cannot afford to help me much. Thank you for reading this application and I would very much like to hear if there are any positions available for this year and the upcoming year.
At Manhattan High School I have maintained a 3.978 GPA
As a musician, I was the 1st chair French horn player in the All-State Orchestra my senior year and 1st chair in the All-State Band my junior year.
As a vocalist, I competed as a soloist, in a duet, ensembles, and choirs and received high scores and awards.
As an artist, I received an award for most accomplished artist at Manhattan High School my junior year, and also presented a three-minute animation at my high school talent show.
SKILLS AND TRAINING
Construction Painting: I spent a whole summer with a construction painting organization, learning the skills of painting, caulking, sanding, and sand-blasting.
Music: I received private French horn lessons for six years.
Art: Having always enjoyed art, I have received private art lessons from a local professional artist for eight years by Mrs. Sandi Van Middendorp.
Summer 2013, I worked at Clydehurst Christian Ranch as a crew boy. I met the daily demands of ground maintenance, kitchen clean-up, and various chores.
Summer 2014, I worked for Jones Painting, a commercial company. I learned how to caulk, sand, stain, and paint buildings. I also learned how to work under deadlines.
06 – 07/15/2015, I worked for Dairy Queen. I learned how to blend, open, close, and serve customers.
My family moved from Cameroon, Africa in 2006, where my love for art began. I carry in my heart and mind many images and ideas that originated from my African roots and hope to use my art in many places someday.
