This piece is a book cover designed for the fiction novel Tsotsi written by Alfred Fugard.. The protagonist is of a young male who was brought up in a poor rural area. From his lack of positive parental guidance, the young man develops the nickname of Tsotsi. The book cover is 8 inches tall and 5.5 inches wide. It is text of all the different words that can be translated into english from the Sesotho language from South African, such as thug, bully, and gangster. Specific sections of the white text are die cut out to reveal the title of the book when the authors name is on the front cover integrating with the descriptive words. The second page is bight solid red, with it the red shows through the die cut to have a contrast between the descriptive words and the title.
