ask a young kid to draw a house. you know what you get, well, this old kid thinks differently. My primary goal is delivering a cohesive, integrated, and functional design that also causes one to engage with it in some way. I'm not pushing boundaries because I don't see any. operating in the grey area of architecture is where I dwell.

the most successful designs are not "one liners"

they are open to interpretation and experimentation give you a totally unique product with layers of meaning. this is made possible by the use of several methodologies. the first and most important step for a successful design is to understand the relationship of, people to building, building to site, site to adjacencies, adjacencies to area. these critical factors can NOT be found in a home designs book. activating you in your personal design process establishes a narrative for your project and guides the appropriate technique ranging from totally custom or maybe a"grey" idea to use modules to construct the structure

I like to communicate with visuals and descriptions and feel it is important to watch, look and listen before I act. I consider all the options and believe it is better to try all possibilities and rule them out instead of assuming they will not work from the beginning. Exploration of new and better approaches always keeps me interested. My tastes are varied and diverse. Finding the best solution on every project, while also achieving a beautiful, fresh an innovative building is my primary objective.
