    A confident and talented, dynamic ladies footwear designer, whose versatility has lead to gaining supplier, high street and high end high street experience. Passionate about finding new inspiration, innovating on trend ideas with the commercial awareness to tailor design handwriting for brand needs. Responsible for designing on a 1.2 million account with excellent feedback from numerous leading high street brands.

    SUMMARY

    * Excels at keeping up to date with catwalks and current trends, but is also passionate about sourcing new unique design inspiration, from abroad and secondary research, to ensure the range is fresh and up to date with other competitors.

    * utilising all research to produce clear trend themes by creating trend boards.

    * preparing for/ and presenting to clients with ease and confidence to ensure the customer feels their needs are fully catered to.

    * tailoring design handwriting and other requirements of the customer - bearing in mind cost implications and their limitations, and where necessary coming up with solutions to this.

    * Excellent design and hand drawing skills - technical, and free hand

    * Fluent daily use of Adobe Photoshop/ Illustrator

    * strong communication skills that ensure that spec sheets for shoes/new constructions/metal hardware/and upper placements are clear for the factories to understand

    * Far east and european factory experience - confident liaising with factories via Skype, email and visiting them abroad, maintaining a solid working relationship to negotiate designs, kit development and amendments to help develop commercial products and get samples completed on time.

    * Solid background within footwear retail sales, working on the shop floor with Schuh and Faith.
