RSA Design Awards

For the Advanced Industrial Design module I had to choose from one of the 12 2016 RSA design briefs, I chose 'The Good Life'. This consisted of designing a product that would empower people who live with long term, lifestyle-related health conditions to take a greater role in managing their own care.
My idea is for a wall mounted scanner that once groceries have been scanned in would alert the user of food items that are due to pass their use by date, therefore preventing food wastage and possible food poisoning. Ultimately giving the user independence with their food management.
