Esmé Jackson

My name is Esme Jackson. I've spent the past few years studying Graphic and Industrial design at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I have always been immensely curious, especially in artistic media. I have tried my hand at many things, from sand castles to film, from painting to CNC printing. This range has granted me an adaptability and sense of resourcefulness when faced with new projects. Admittedly I do well with personal projects but I feel I thrive in any sort of group environment especially in collaborative cases. When creating things such as graphics and objects the end product will connect with a broader audience, as it is not just a representation of a single person.



When making images I strive to create things people can relate to emotionally. Using text and photographs I hope to reveal aspects of our feelings, which we can't always define. Simple sadness, frustration and the gravity of love in the unsubstantial.



As for product design, I try to focus on sustainability and interaction. I like to make things that one can play with such as skateboards and hanging chairs, yet also learn from. I do my best to connect these to my interests in cradle to cradle ideology.
