Genevieve Panuska

Work as the solo designer for Connor Stationery at Barneys. There, I create engraving designs, bespoke stationery and art direct, style and design imagery for marketing and social media.

I create and problem solve in all aspects of design- art direction, print, packaging, branding and identity development. I am a thoughtful and conceptual thinker who's passionate about innovation, simplicity, wit, white space (and teeny tiny type).

Generated content, directed photo shoots and designed layouts for large-scale projects and feature stories. Managed story development through conceptualization, research, and creation of a story board sketch that served as a map to lead a team in execution. Collaborated with photographers, illustrators, stylists, editors, event coordinators, set designers, and production in order to produce a story. Hired interns and managed and mentored their day-to-day experience at Martha. Translated print issue to digital design for iPad, as well as created videos and animation for website. I have expertise in still-life stories with an emphasis on craft, and designed a great amount of stationery featured in the magazine.

Designed posters, an annual report, an invitation and collateral for the Jazz at Lincoln Center Annual Gala featuring Paul Simon, and an entire system's identity for a series of jazz clubs opening at international St. Regis Hotels.

Wrote copy and designed stationery (including personal stationery, party invitations, wedding suites and cards to celebrate holidays, baby showers and announcements) that was sold online. Designed a branded line of candles, with different yet cohesive packaging designs for each scent.

Worked on the concept and execution of sugar packaging for a global brand.

As part of the corporate identity team, produced branding solutions with projects ranging from logo and identity systems, packaging, website design and advertising.

Conceptualized editorial layouts- considering openers, spread adjacencies, style consistency & story content. Generated & executed ideas with emphasis on stories involving craft. Designed stationery that was produced & featured. Collaborated on the custom design on large-scale sets. Selected & art directed photographers, illustrators & vendors for visual content of magazine.

As part of Michael Bierut's print team, responsibilities included intensive typesetting, production and work for clients such as the Fashion Institute of Technology and the Yale School of Architecture.
