Hamid Taherypour is a contemporary visual artist and sculptor whose work explores the intersection of human psychology, structural discipline, and raw materiality. Holding a doctorate in psychology from Goethe University Frankfurt, his academic background deeply informs his art, transforming three-dimensional forms into studies of perception, emotion, and internal human structures.
Taherypour’s visual language was shaped early on through classical training under master carpet designers, where he mastered rhythm, proportion, and composition. While his career expanded into international entrepreneurship—founding Oxin Holding and leading major hospitality and construction developments in Germany—his path ultimately led him back to his core passion. Since 2020, he has dedicated his practice entirely to visual art, creating an extensive portfolio of over one hundred works.
Working primarily with patinated bronze, wood, and textured elements, Taherypour rejects mere decoration. Instead, his sculptures focus on the dualities of tension and balance, weight and fluidity. By emphasizing negative space and lyrical, calligraphic contours, his abstract pieces invite viewers into a quiet, meditative dialogue with the form. His conceptual works have been exhibited internationally in major cultural hubs, including Tehran, Dubai, Muscat, Istanbul, and Madrid.
