Architecture is great. It influences, manipulates, guides, and inspires. Its beauty astounds me. It's power overwhelms me. It incites the most dramatic of feelings, the most vivid of thoughts. It is silent, yet it speaks loudly to those who would listen. It is inanimate, yet alive with a spirit; the Genius Loci. I cannot help but be interested in it. I find purpose in studying it, duty in practicing it, and fullfillment in establishing it.
