Jessica De La Cruz

I have been a User Experience Designer and Researcher for seven years. Last year, I was promoted to be a Product User Experience Manager. Since then I have been actively working on defining the UX process not only within the Product Management team but also across the organization.

I'm currently working on getting my Master's in Information and Data Visualization, from the Maryland Institute College of Art, which will help me improve my understanding of how users digest and observe data and gain knowledge of other methodologies that would provide me better insights.

I'm a life-long learner and actively involved in the design community in Kansas City. I have mentored and worked with high school and college students, and educators to teach them how to leverage the tools and methodologies of the user-centered design process and how to apply it to their business, community, or life. Recently, I served a guest lecturer at UMKC Henry W. Bloch School of Management E-Scholar program, which allowed young entrepreneurs to learn about the HCD process and how it applied to their business development.
