Jo Lane

I am currently at the University of Plymouth studying 3D Design Designer Maker specialising in ceramics (3rd year). My work explores the marks and layers of surfaces created by nature over time. The ideas of growth and remains interest me; fossils, roots and fungi are some of my main sources of inspiration. My forms derive from both natural structures (trees, leaves and rock formations) as well as Ancient Minoan Pottery. My work is a range of sculptures and vessels all of which I hand-build.
