This is the suspension system for the Linium luminaire. Designed as part of that project. However, it is so unique that it deserves a page for itself.
This system has a patent awarded, due to its unique features, such as self-location, adjustability, and locking system.
It was designed to be as easy to use as possible. Its geometry, combined with the luminaire's own geometry, ensures the clip cannot be engaged wrongly, and more over, if positioned slightly incorrectly, it will move itself to the right location.
It can be operated single handed, and the ability to slide across the luminaire, means it can be located anywhere along its body.
The lock is an added safety feature, which simply prevents the metal clip from being bent, and thus stops it from disengaging.
