I am in the process of redesigning the web pages for the Office of Technology Transfer, and increasing their presence on the University website. I assisted in creating a TDX 'ticketing' system for the Office to process faculty tech transfer forms, and worked with IT to implement it. Twice monthly, I create a newsletter promoting technology transfer and patent information for the university research audience. I create flyers for and promote a speaker series featuring researchers who have commercialized their innovations, promote various webinars and conferences relating to biomedical research and tech transfer.

My responsibilities at this publishing house included:
• magazine and photography art direction
• editorial layouts for The Bahamas Investor, the Dining & Entertainment Guide for Nassau, and other tourist magazines
• design of advertising, editorial inserts and retail brochures
• design of editorial inserts and retail brochures
• online Digipage flip-page editions of all magazines for www.bahamasnet.com
• checked art files submitted by advertisers
• supervised and trained design staff, tracked workflow, problem-solved technical and design issues

My responsibilities included:
• design of print advertising for hotel chains: Marriott, Hilton, Renaissance and Comfort Suites
• layout of travel brochure for Sunwing Canada.

At this boutique design studio, projects I designed included:
• conceptual design, layout and illustration of annual reports, including charts, graphics and balance sheets for Enghouse Systems Ltd, City of Toronto–Works & Emergency Services, College of Massage Therapists of Ontario
• design and illustration of press kits and POS signage and brochures for events by a firm promoting the International Olive Oil Council-Canada and Wines of Germany Canada
• design and layout of conference and seminar brochures and displays for Treasury Management Association of Canada
• design of website, intranet site and print collateral for AstraZeneca-Canada
• brochure layout and ads for Sandals Beaches Resorts

• art direction and layout for University of Idaho Magazine, and The UI Register
• UI President’s Report
• responsibilities as a web designer involved working with departments, designing site structures, writing text, creating graphics and html web pages, uploading to a UNIX server, checking links and working with webmaster to create data-based dynamic aspects of the sites.
