Kailey Mikulencak

As a Program Integrator, I was responsible for ensuring efficient communication and cohesion between all of the various groups that come together to build a complete interior: design, engineering, subcontracts, planning, procurement, and manufacturing. I scheduled weekly meetings with each group during which I gathered status reports, issues that could potentially affect schedule, budgetary concerns, and upcoming needs in manpower.

As an Industrial/Interior Designer, I am responsible for the design of the aircraft from proposal to completion, including initial bid work and design concept development, including the development of color schemes and material selections. Ensuring that material dye lots match throughout the long duration of the program is an integral aspect of the role. After 2 years working on a large Boeing 747-8 contract, I was promoted to the Lead Designer position on another large aircraft completion. My role as a designer involves countless hours of facetime with both the customer and outside vendors.

I led a team of over 100 employees who made up our aquatics, park services and maintenance departments. My responsibilities included hiring, scheduling, in-service training, planning and oversight of team building functions, auditing and, if necessary, remedial training. Through the mentorship of a wonderful manager, I developed leadership skills of my own that have remained with me throughout my career.
