I really liked this menu, specifically because I set it up as a seamless animated sequence which utilized an animated Xbox avatar, and also included the leaderboard (on the next picture).
The other side of the menu. When you clicked on the Leaderboard button, the camera would shift over to the right and move all the UI elements. I don't know why those little kinds of animation always make me smile a bit.
Just your standard hoverboarder in the middle of a long, straight, downtown street.
"Damage" feedback when the player hit an obstacle instead of dodging or ducking. The screen would flash for a split-second when the avatar was slowed down a little.
The obstacles were often animated, as well as having different effects, sometimes with speed boosts, ramps, and even the ability to "bounce" off the top of some objects, like trash cans and cars.
The results screen would rush in from either side as soon as the avatar crossed the finish line. Top speeds would end up on the leaderboards!

Verizon's Downtown Dash

Downtown Dash was an Xbox Dashboard runner-style game created for the "City of Speed" campaign, which used the Xbox Avatars and a sweet hoverboard.
