Katherine López Hayna

I am Katherine López Hayna. Design Engineer.

Being a design engineer vastly describes what I am: a mediator of contrasts.

As an engineer, I benefit from analyzing systems and quantitative data, comprehending its functions as a whole and identifying it´s key attributes, purely functional, rational.

As a designer, I weigh the importance of emotion and esthetics.

I enjoy the challenges that arise from being a Design Engineer but I love the need for innovation that the discipline seeks.

Because of my versatile background, I set upon a wide spectrum of projects, which I engage with enthusiasm, adopting methodologies and positions depending on the project. Adaptability and variety has provided me with an assortment of skills from each area that helps me during the design process.

I love learning and I am always open to new experiences.

At the current time, I am coursing the Integrated Product Design masters program at the University of Pennsylvania, exited and expectant of the new possibilities.
