"Recycled STEM Objects as Art"(c) - In Santa Barbara, CA there's a wonderful do-it-yourself crafting shop called Art from Scrap, where customers dig through hundreds of containers of leftover business inventory of every kind -- doll eyes to felt on a bolt, circuit boards to house tiles. They pick out what they want, pay per piece, take it upstairs to the workroom and kluge it together in whatever kind of art or sculpture moves them.

These pieces moved me: CDs, gears, wires, pipettes, foam insulation ...
Painting: "Espiranza" - Inspired by a line drawing, this 2'x3' frameless painting hung in a tony Rancho Santa Fe international/Mexican-inspired living room.
"Girl with Eyelashes"(c) - Mathematical symbols anthropomorphized into a girl's face, front view, including:

- Baryon decuplets (earrings)
- Greek zeta (earrings)
- Half transcendental butterfly curve (ears)
- Complete coloring clebsch (eyes)
- Epi half spiral (nose)
- 3-clique decision trees (hair)
- Astroid squashed (mouth)
- Claws (eyelashes)

30"W x 40"H.
