    • Women's Market Designer
      The Clarks Companies
      Newton Upper Falls, MA
      Nov 2010 - Feb 2016 (5 years 3 months)
As a member of the Women's 'Collection' team at Clarks, I contributed to the design and development of both casual and dress footwear, accounting for 50% of global wholesale and retail sales. My responsibilities included designing and developing women's footwear according to Clarks' technical specifications while considering consumer preferences, trends, color palettes, and cost constraints. I worked proactively, planning designs one and a half years ahead of delivery and ensuring quick turnaround for buyer-specific requests.

Additionally, I regularly traveled to China to review prototypes, leather, and ornamentation, working closely with engineers and collaborating with manufacturers. I sourced inspiration from European, Asian, and US markets to inform our design process.

      Key Achievements:
      - Spearheaded the design of the first adjustable velcro ‘beach’ sandal (collection names: “Breeze” and “Brinkley”) for Women’s Clarks Collection, leading to a quadrupling of sales for the sandal business. These sandals became the highest volume sellers in major retailers such as Macy’s, QVC, DSW, Zappos, and others, contributing significantly to the growth of casual sandal production to over 3 million pairs per season.
      - Initiated the launch of winter/weather boot collections for Clarks Collection, resulting in more than doubling the boot business since 2013.

I played an integral role in driving growth and innovation within the Women's 'Collection' team at Clarks, consistently delivering successful designs that resonate with consumers and contribute to business expansion.
