2013 brings the completion of a long-term transition or, I should say, the beginning of my new role as a designer/educator:

By day, I teach students at Riverside University High School.

At night/weekends, I continue to create corporate image/branding in print and digital medium with a special ability to pull together a ‘look’ creatively and appropriately for my clients that set them apart from their competition whether they're a small start-up business or international company.

Specialties: Brand/Corporate Identities, Collateral Pieces, Catalog & Book Design, Packaging, Advertising, Special Event Planning and Coordination, and of course - Textile Design.

      Oct 2007 - Dec 2011 (4 years 2 months)
Fall semester 2011: co-taught ART202 with the Department Chairperson. I Modified existing course content, assignments, and schedule to focus on development of the students’ creative problem-solving abilities in relation to and use of appropriate software and understanding of design as a process from ideation through production of a printed product or piece.

Past semesters: I modified the various content (of assigned design courses) to specifically teach historical aspects of the field of design, develop the students’ sense of aesthetic and creative problem-solving abilities as these skills apply to the field of graphic design. At the senior level courses, a primary goal was to enlightened students to the role of the contemporary designer in today’s technological world as well as social and environmental responsibilities through research-based projects with local non-profit groups, guest lectures, and field trips.
