Design and development of luxury rug collections. Working from the ground up from conceptual stage to the finished product. Every aspect in the design and development of a rug collection was done by myself and my team - from the conceptual stage, design research, material sourcing and testing, color research and development, hand weaving, prototyping. Additionally during prototyping and sampling I would run the robo-tufter, jacquard and dobby looms as needed. I worked directly with craftsmen during the finishing stage. Communication with overseas vendors for dyeing and manufacturing needs. Travel to overseas mills/partners to assist in the manufacturing and review of prototypes. Assisted with marketing of new product and educated sales team on essential product details. Attending trade shows. In addition to creating collections I also designed custom rugs working directly with interior designers to create one-of-kind rugs manufactured at our U.S mill as well at overseas mills. Interior design clients included Jay Jeffers, Mark D. Sikes, Betty Wasserman, Joe Lucas to name a few.
