I'm an industrial designer with 10 years of product development experience. That experience extends to every stage of the process, from the earliest research, to ideation, prototyping, CMF, collaborating on DFM with engineers and vendors, first runs of assembly and packaging, and product demos and training. I also enjoy just getting my hands dirty building things and experimenting, though.

Whenever I have the time I love woodworking and metal fabrication. I decided to spend the majority of 2020 and 2021 indulging in the role of "full-time dad," but I also spent time designing and constructing furniture and cabinetry for myself and several private clients.

My personal design interests center around the ways people live and work everyday... in their homes, offices, and home offices. I have fascinated by the rapidly blurring line between work and home, even before the pandemic virtually erased it all together. (The buzz word in the Contract Furniture market had been "Reso-mercial".) The repartitioning of work and life, the layout and use of spaces, the forms and configurations of furniture, the integration of technology, and the accommodation of new rules, practices, and processes...yes, it's overwhelming and stressing. To designers, however, it's also incredibly interesting and rife with opportunity.

I earned my Masters Degree in Industrial Design from North Carolina State University's College of Design, and I specialize in analog and digital sketch ideation, 3D modeling, prototyping, trend research, multidisciplinary team work, clear communication, and learning.
