Michael Barry

Michael Barry has served as a professor of architectural design at Cornell University, Syracuse University, M.I.T.'s Graduate Program in Architectural Design, and at the School of Architecture, University of Kentucky. His design projects have been published and exhibited nationally. During the time of his teaching, he created arcumbra design, a high contemporary design and concept-driven studio. His philosophy for design is rooted in the visceral experience of light, spatial sequence, materiality, and the balanced composition of forms in space making his spaces unique and timeless.
