Naoya Edahiro

After college, Naoya Edahiro joined an architectural hardware manufacturer near Tokyo. For 5 years, he worked as a mechanical engineer and industrial designer, and developed several new products such as handrails, mailboxes, etc. While he was working in the company, he gained hands on engineering knowledge and skills for mass production.

He left the hardware manufacture and moved to the US for a new adventure in his career. In 2005, he joined Yves Behar's award winning design studio, fuseproject in San Francisco. In fuseproject, as an industrial designer and furniture designer, he participated in every aspect of the design process on various design projects from small consumer electronics to office furniture systems. With his engineering experience and skill sets from Japan, he challenged himself to push designs into production with the team and engineers

In 2016, Naoya left fuseproject after 10 years of work with Yves Behar, and started his own design studio in San Francisco. He has been working internationally on various projects such as consumer electronics, furniture, robots, etc.
